30 Days of Hope – Day 2

💙 Why we support SITraN

At the Mel Evans MBE Foundation , we believe that the future of Motor Neurone Disease will be changed through research.

That’s why we’re proud to support the incredible scientists at the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN)—one of the world’s leading centres dedicated to MND research.

Every breakthrough starts with an idea. Every clinical trial begins with years of dedication, collaboration and investment.

This week’s announcement that a pioneering treatment targeting the UNC13A protein is moving into human clinical trials is a reminder of just how exciting this moment is for the MND community. Research like this has the potential to benefit around 97% of people living with MND, offering genuine hope for the future.

We know there is still a long road ahead, but progress is happening.

As a Foundation, we’re incredibly proud to play our part by helping support world-class research that has the potential to change lives.

Over the next 30 Days of Hope, we’ll be sharing more about the remarkable work taking place at SITraN, the people behind the science, and why continued investment in research has never been more important.

Together, we can keep hope moving.

💙 Donate if you can.
