4 years ago, BrewMish Pub Company co-owner, Chris Brewster conceived 50P4MND. Where you can give a tip for ethical MND research when you dine at The Duke of Marlborough, Back Lane Tavern (Woodstock), and OXTWO (Oxford). All to support a mate who lost his Dad to MND – to fight back.
Not satisfied with that, Chris and co-founder Mish decided to do more to give back to their community. DukeFest was launched.
Held over two days, the event features a multitude of bands, DJs and FIVE barbecue stations. Some of the best dishes you will taste. All for Mel Evans MND Foundation, who fund ethical research to help cure MND.
On the Sunday Family day, children were entertained by Tony Payne’s puppet show, teddy tombola, bouncy castle and games. The adults were able to enjoy the music and peruse the art on sale. The day always receives 5-star feedback and has sold out 4 years’ running.

It was lovely to be part of an event that brought people together to enjoy great live music, whilst supporting such an important cause. Knowing that the money raised goes towards ethical MND research makes it all the more special. A really enjoyable event for a very worthwhile cause – looking forward to next year!”
What started with Chris and Mish wanting to help mate, Richard after losing his Dad, has turned into an event that helps the whole MND community and has raised £33,000 and counting. It is one of the highlights in the Oxfordshire calendar. Another attendee (Mark) said, “What a fantastic two-day event Dukefest is. Amazing music, delicious food and just loads of fun all round!”
